Playa de Carvajal - vast family beach with fine sand
Playa de Carvajal beach is situated in Spain on the Costa del Sol between the popular holiday resorts of Benalmádena and Fuengirola. It is made up of the grey-brown sand that is typical of the region. The large number of hotels, apartment complexes and houses that can be found right by the beach and in the surrounding area ensure that especially in the height of summer there is lots of activity here.
A coastal road, which ends in a cul-de-sac, runs along most of Playa de Carvajal. The pavement between the road and the beach is broad like a beach promenade and planted with palm trees. Steps lead down onto the sand from it in a few places. There are also chiringuitos here, spread out at a distance from one another, which mostly serve fish grilled on wood fires in the typical local style. As well as regional dishes you can buy refreshing drinks and there are loungers and sun umbrellas to hire on the beach.
The infrastructure on Playa de Carvajal beach is good, as are the bathing conditions. There are lifeguards in situ, and public showers and toilets are available. Not only is there a play area on the sand, there is also a water playground in the sea. You can spend a nice day at the beach with the whole family here.
