Playa de Guadalmina - quiet beach for families and couples
The long rows of buildings aren't especially tall, but they are adjacent to large parts of the beach on the landward side. Playa de Guadalmina is characterised by a large hotel complex, which with its white, balconied façades and yellow awnings, has a significant impact not only on the scenery, but also on the crowd on this strip of coast. It's mainly guests from the holiday accommodation that visit the beach, including lots of couples and families. A quiet and very tasteful setting awaits you here.
Playa de Guadalmina is situated 14 kilometres south-west of Marbella's city centre in a holiday resort with hotels, apartments and a golf course in immediate proximity to the beach. In the surrounding streets you will find a few places to park if you come here by car. From the hotel it's just a few steps to the sea.
Immediately in front of the hotel you will find sun loungers, beach umbrellas and beach beds. A chiringuito is housed in a small wooden hut and there are a few loungers on the sand here too. On the terrace of the local restaurant and in another beach restaurant you can order regional dishes, amongst other things. The beach facilities also include showers and toilets, and lifeguards are present to keep an eye on safety.
The fine, grey sand gives way to a stonier surface towards the water. Playa de Guadalmina is not well-known for water sports, however there is an operator on site, from whom you can hire out jet skis, amongst other things.
