Playa de Lindavista - this beach will win you over with its eateries in particular
With its partly fine-sanded, partly stony surface, fishing boats lying around, and larger stones, this beach makes a somewhat untidy impression at first glance. Even on closer inspection it's evident that Playa de Linda Vista doesn't score points for impressive coastal scenery. However, this makes it all the more worthwhile paying a visit to the local restaurants.
You can get to Playa de Lindavista from Marbella in around quarter of an hour by car. There are parking spaces in the streets right behind the beach. The surrounding area is densely populated with hotel complexes and holiday homes in places, but these are broken up with plenty of greenery. Four restaurants, which have rather a beach club feel, entice you to enjoy fresh fish or allow your gaze to sweep across the sea view over a cocktail. Macaao Beach Club is a very special restaurant, which is run by a Belgian couple. The menu here includes Belgian specialities and there are also sun loungers and beach beds available for guests. For typical Spanish dishes we recommend Guayaba Beach restaurant. On the comfortable terrace you can sample fish dishes that have been freshly prepared by the chefs on the outdoor grill.
Even though the stones and small chunks of rock detract a little from the bathing experience, this doesn't stop visitors taking a refreshing dip in the sea when the weather is nice. The crowd is largely made up of families and older couples. However Playa de Lindavista is not overly crowded even in summer. You'll always find a peaceful spot to relax here.
