Charco de Bristol appears on most maps of Fuerteventura as a swimming beach. As it is quite centrally located just outside Corralejo, one might assume it is a good alternative to the crowded town beaches of Corralejo. However, this is unfortunately not true, as the beach is littered with rubbish and dog mess and is covered in sharp stones. Until the beach gets tidied and cleaned up thoroughly, there is no pleasure to be had swimming here. Our advice: find another nice beach in Fuerteventura!
Charco de Bristol in the northern suburb of Corralejo is one of the few beaches of Fuerteventura
which we cannot recommend. The small bay can easily be reached by foot in about five minutes from the car park of the Hotel Bristol Playa, but you have to be careful not to step into the numerous specimens of dog mess and other rubbish scattered around. Unfortunately, the beach itself is also very untidy and too near to the road.
In addition it has sharp stones, nowhere comfortable to lie and the surrounding scenery is not very attractive. To be honest, there are plenty of nice beaches in Fuerteventura and we cannot think of a single reason why you should spend any of your time here.
