A small, sandy beach next to the harbour, well sheltered from waves and currents. Unfortunately this also means that there are lots of algae on the beach and also large quantities of scattered rubbish in places. If you travel along the north coast of Fuerteventura you will have to pass through the little fishing village of Majanicho. However, we definitely cannot recommend stopping at the beach there until the overall cleanliness has improved.
Playa de Majanicho - Small, sandy beach at the harbour, unfortunately including rubbish and algaePlaya de Majanicho is situated in the village of Majanicho, halfway between El Cotillo and Corralejo on the north coast of Fuerteventura. Dark stones are a feature of this small, light-coloured sandy beach, which is right next to the local harbour. As the beach is situated quite far inland from the bay and sheltered by rocks, there are hardly any waves, meaning that there are sometimes lots of algae on the beach.
Furthermore, large quantities of scattered rubbish in places, as well as the lack of any amenities or somewhere to eat, together with the rather dull surroundings make this beach not very attractive and we unfortunately therefore cannot recommend a visit to Playa de Majanicho.
