For those travelling by car in the south of the island in the direction of the lighthouse, Punta Salina beach is a great place to really enjoy the solitude. The piles of rocks which have been created by holidaymakers provide shelter from strong winds and enable you to relax here. You can even put up your tent or park your campervan and stay for a few days at one of the most remote beaches of Fuerteventura.
Punta Salina (Aqua de Oveja) - Remote pebble beach at the southern tip of FuerteventuraPunta Salina is situated at the southern tip of Fuerteventura. It is the most western beach on the east coast of Fuerteventura and is situated in front of the small village of Puerto de la Cruz, near to the lighthouse. There are plenty car parking spaces at the beach, even for caravans.
The Punta Salina bay consists mainly of stones and piles of rocks, but there are also some sandy areas. Here you can enjoy peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the holidaymaker hotspots. Swimming in the nude is also possible. You can enjoy the great views of the surroundings right up to Faro de Jandía. However, you will need to bring your own food and drink, as there are no shops anywhere nearby.
