Playa Es Puet - Swimming for hotel guests
Most of the beaches in the bay of San Antonio cannot be described as charming, but they are conveniently situated so that the tourists in the surrounding hotels do not need to travel far to enjoy sun-bathing and the cool waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Playa Es Puet is located around two kilometres south of the town centre of San Antonio and is one of these beaches where the hotels dominate the scenery.
From your sun-lounger on the soft sand you have a view of the bay of San Antonio and the harbour opposite, where numerous boats anchor. Behind the beach are a local road and a promenade which stretches right into the centre of San Antonio, where there are many small restaurants and shops nestled among the hotels. Directly at the pier of the beach is the Es Puetó bar, which includes fish and sangria at reasonable prices among its choice of dishes.
A ferry connects Playa Es Puet with the centre of San Antonio. At the beach itself you can also hire pedal boats, while lifeguards keep the area safe. As in most places in this area, young Brits are in the majority, but in contrast to the main beach of S’Arenal, Playa Es Puet is much quieter.
