Playa Sa Guardiola - Solitude in rough natural surroundings
The tiny, stony beach of Playa Sa Guardiola is hidden away next to a flat rock plateau in the bay of Puerto Portinatx in the north of Ibiza. It is some distance away from the nearest holiday resort, but offers a quiet alternative with its landscape of rocks, cliffs and fishing boats in the sea.
The beach can only be reached by foot via the cliffs. From the rocks on the northern side of the beach of Puerto Portinatx you can make your way over the cliffs and will need about five minutes to get to Playa Sa Guardiola, where you can then enjoy the solitude and tranquillity.
The crystal clear sea in this narrow, long bay offers very good diving conditions. Furthermore, you can swim from here into a small rock cave on a small island opposite the beach. Just a few minutes' walk behind Sa Guardiola the cliffs form a rugged, rocky coastline where you can go for walks and enjoy the view of the open sea.
Playa Sa Guardiola has been completely left to nature and there are neither sun-loungers nor anywhere to eat or drink. However, the restaurants and bars in nearby Portinatx can be quickly reached on foot.
