Cala Molí - Relaxed sunbathing in natural surroundings
The small sandy beach of Cala Molí in the south-west of Ibiza is a quiet alternative to the lively beach of Cala Tarida, which is two kilometres north of Cala Molí and which can get very busy. Cala Molí is situated around seven kilometres from San Josep and is easy to reach by car. There is car parking along the road directly behind the beach.
Cala Molí has the typical natural scenery of Ibiza, surrounded by pine forests and sheltered by rocks in front of which boat houses are dotted around. The sandy beach is in places mixed with pebbles and although the sea is very clear here, the surface under the water is very stony and appropriate footwear is recommended.
Even in summer Cala Molí is not very busy and, although it is popular with both families and couples, there is always plenty room to spread out on the sand or on a sun-lounger under a parasol. Directly at the beach is a restaurant which serves fresh fish and other delicious local dishes.
