In the north-east of Ibiza at Playa Aguas Blancas the foothills of a wooded mountain range end at the sea and form steep cliffs. In front of the huge cliffs is an around 500 metres long, narrow beach of soft sand. Among the rocks or in the rugged rock walls you can find numerous places to soak up the sun.
Aguas Blancas is easily reached in about 10 minutes by car from San Carles and the route is well signposted. A 5-minute walk from the large gravel car park down a steep tarmac road will get you to the beach. From up there you can already hear the sound of the sea and admire the turquoise water scattered with rocks.
The fine, sandy surface, which stretches deep into the water, is ideal for swimming. However, there are no water-sport activities or boat hire at this beach.
Playa Aguas Blancas attracts all kinds of holidaymakers - families, hippies, topless or in a bikini, nudists, gays, young and old all enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this beach. Nudists gather in several places, and especially in the northern part of Aguas Blancas which is reachable via a short walk through the rocks. nudists. At high tide it is difficult at times to reach this part of the beach.
Right at the beach a restaurant and a beach bar with views of the sea offer dishes, snacks and drinks, some of which are on the more expensive side. From the raised patio areas you have a nice view of the action nearby and of the cliffs.
