Playa de Santa Eulalia - Everything for a relaxed day at the beach
With the second biggest town of Ibiza nearby, Playa de Santa Eulalia is a centrally situated town beach with plenty amenities, very near to many hotels and apartments. It is mainly the numerous tourists staying in the town who come here. Playa de Santa Eulalia can also be easily reached by car and there are car parking spaces in the surrounding streets.
In contrast to places like San Antonio, Santa Eulalia is not a holiday destination for those who want to party. It is quieter and classier here compared to Ibiza town and this is why Playa de Santa Eulalia is popular with families, couples and singles who want to enjoy a relaxed day at the beach in nice surroundings.
There is a small water-sports outlet where you can hire canoes and pedal boats, or even try banana boats and stand-up paddling. Lifeguards keep an eye on the swimmers and there are also amenities such as showers and toilets. Furthermore, a wooden ramp provides wheelchair access to the sandy beach, where there is also a roofed area to shelter from the sun.
Behind the soft, sandy beach is a palm tree lined promenade with numerous restaurants and shops. The art-themed restaurant Somiart has a nicely decorated outside area with palm trees and many other plants, where you can enjoy for example tapas, sandwiches and smoothies. In the evenings a DJ provides the music on a small stage.
On the eastern side of Playa de Santa Eulalia is the large marina of the town and towards the west along the promenade is a fountain. From there you have a great view of the town and the turquoise water. From the fountain the promenade leads to the other town beach of Santa Eulalia, Playa del Río.
