Cala Llenya - Beach for families in a holiday resort
Although it is situated in a holiday resort with hotels and apartments, the beach of Cala Llenya in the north-east of Ibiza has a lot of nature to offer. A small forest separates the beach from the built-up areas and red cliffs create a fabulous setting.
You can reach Cala Llenya from Sant Carles in around ten minutes. Large trees cover the entire car park in shade and a wooden pathway leads from there to the beach. On the large, soft, sandy area are numerous sun-loungers, and showers and toilets are also available. There is easy access to the sea through shallow water, which is one of the reasons why children particularly enjoy it here and why the beach is so popular with families. In contrast to many other beaches near to holiday resorts, Cala Llenya is very rarely overcrowded. The large sandy area provides plenty space for everyone, even when it is busy. In the main season two lifeguards are taking care that nobody gets hurt.
A small beach bar here sells drinks, snacks and ice cream and has pedal boats and canoes for hire. In a separate area are chairs and tables where dishes like paella are served and every Thursday there is a BBQ.
