Jerusalem Beach - The beach in the city centre
Jerusalem Beach is located in central Tel Aviv and is enjoyed by both locals and tourists alike. The beach is right at the promenade and leads along the hotel strip. It is best to come here on foot or by bicycle. As the weather is good all year round, conditions for swimming are ideal here. Even in the winter months the water temperature does not fall below 17 degrees Celsius.
Well-equipped Jerusalem Beach
If you stroll along the promenade of Tel Aviv, you can recognise the beach by its signs and the many blue umbrellas. Last year the beach received the Blue Flag award for sustainable tourism. Due to the infrastructure of the beach, wheelchair users have easy access. There are many pavilions providing shade here, which are also accessible to wheelchair users. In addition, there is also a playground and a fitness trail, while toilets, showers and lockers can be found nearby. Lifeguards and beach supervisors are there for your safety in the water and on the beach all year round.
On the opposite side of the beach you can find information for tourists.
Enjoyment at Jerusalem Beach
The white, sandy and spacious beach is particularly popular in the summer months, when many families come here. Thanks to the breakwater and the shallow water, the kids can play here safely. In addition to the many locals, you will meet mainly Russians, Americans and Germans here. Since this beach is advertised as a swimming beach, there are no water-sports enthusiasts getting in your way while you are in the water.
On the beach is the Jsfoni Restaurant, where you will find a large seating area. The rustic furniture makes it a very cosy location, inviting for relaxation, while you try the Israeli cuisine and enjoy the view of the sea. On Fridays there are regularly rumba parties at Jerusalem Beach. At night during the summer months the beach is lively with the young people of Tel Aviv, who celebrate the summer until the early morning hours with music and drinks.
