Chale Beach –Honeymoon on a dream islandl
Chale Island is half an hour south of Diani Beach, not far from the border to Tanzania. The small island has three beaches, of which Chale Beach is the easiest to get to and is also by far the most beautiful. Here is also located the only hotel of the island, which is otherwise more like a nature park and jungle. Chale Island is breathtakingly picturesque, which is why the island is especially popular with honeymooners.
The fine, white sandy dream beach of Chale Beach is nicely nestled in between the rocks and is inviting for beach holidaymakers to relax under the parasols here. From every angle you can admire impressive views of the natural surroundings. Chale Beach is on Chale Island and therefore can only be reached via the sea from Kenya’s mainland. From there boats travel at high tide to the island and at low tide a tractor with a trailer brings the tourists to this little piece of paradise.
Chale Beach – Water-sports in jungle surroundings
It is hard to imagine a beach holiday with more nature than is available at Chale Beach. The water is ideal for snorkelling and diving and trips on a catamaran are also on offer. Not far from the beach stretches a four-metre deep natural canal where you can swim and snorkel at low tide, when there are also many small pools in which you can see numerous sea creatures from close range, giving you the impression of looking into an aquarium.
Also on land at Chale Beach you can watch numerous other animals, particularly the baboons who chase each other in the bushes and the gentler colobus monkeys which can be spotted romping about in the trees and nibbling at the leaves.
