With its concrete and stony section, Haad Tian Beach is different to the other beaches on Koh Phangan. It is divided into two areas and attracts mainly families with children who come every year to the only holiday complex here to enjoy a relaxed holiday. Haad Tian Beach is great for swimming and snorkelling and occasionally you will see some fishermen with their boats in the bay. The sunset in the evenings here is especially beautiful.
Haad Tian Beach - A stony beach for families who come here regularly
The small beach of Haad Tian is different to the numerous other long sandy beaches of Koh Phangan. Here you will find a clear separation between two areas, one of them a small sandy bay, the other concrete and stony.
Families in particular return to this small bay on the west coast of the island every year to spend some relaxed days away from the party hustle and bustle of Phangan. There is only one accommodation complex which has a pool where small children can splash about and the only restaurant there serves delicious food and is at the same time the only place where you can buy anything to eat. For shopping you have to go to the nearby village.
The beach itself is all about relaxation, but you can also enjoy swimming, snorkelling and taking a boat out to the sea. In addition, here you can watch a wonderful sunset in the evening. Apart from holidaymakers from Europe you will also find many locals at the beach enjoying the calm surroundings. Travelling to the beach is a bit difficult, as the signpost from the main road is hardly visible and the path goes steeply downhill and becomes very sandy. Take care if you are travelling by scooter!
