Playa Son Moll - Centrally located sandy beach with good swimming conditions
On the southern edge of the popular holiday resort Cala Ratjada on the east coast of Majorca is a beach called Playa Son Moll. Framed by small rocks in the water and on land, its wide sands have ample room for sun-hungry holidaymakers. There are plenty of straw beach umbrellas and sun loungers, as well as some beach beds for hire, which provide welcome shade. On the promenade are restaurants, with a beach bar immediately below them on the sand. There’s a lifeguard to ensure safety. Showers and public toilets are also available.
The sand on Playa Son Moll is fine, clean and well-cared-for. Access to the water is easy and swimming here is really good fun, as there are no water sports on offer - Playa San Moll is a straightforward bathing beach. Families with children, many of whom come here in July and August to enjoy a holiday, appreciate this especially - they can easily get here on foot from the nearby hotels. In May, June and September, on the other hand, it is increasingly young people who come, and Playa Son Moll becomes a party beach.
