Your holiday experience at Playa Son Moll, in Cala Ratjada on the east coast of Majorca, depends very much on when you come. In May, June and September this centrally located sandy beach becomes a party beach. In July and August, on the other hand, it's mainly families with children who come here. Playa Son Moll is easy to reach on foot from the nearby hotels. There are plenty of sun loungers on the beach and lots of room in the restaurants and bars. There are no water sports on offer, but this means that swimming is exceptionally unimpeded.
Playa Son Moll - Centrally located sandy beach with good swimming conditions
On the southern edge of the popular holiday resort Cala Ratjada on the east coast of Majorca is a beach called Playa Son Moll. Framed by small rocks in the water and on land, its wide sands have ample room for sun-hungry holidaymakers. There are plenty of straw beach umbrellas and sun loungers, as well as some beach beds for hire, which provide welcome shade. On the promenade are restaurants, with a beach bar immediately below them on the sand. There’s a lifeguard to ensure safety. Showers and public toilets are also available.
The sand on Playa Son Moll is fine, clean and well-cared-for. Access to the water is easy and swimming here is really good fun, as there are no water sports on offer - Playa San Moll is a straightforward bathing beach. Families with children, many of whom come here in July and August to enjoy a holiday, appreciate this especially - they can easily get here on foot from the nearby hotels. In May, June and September, on the other hand, it is increasingly young people who come, and Playa Son Moll becomes a party beach.
