Sa Marjal - Largely natural, peaceful bathing beach
You'll find Playa Sa Marjal near Cala Millor, the popular holiday resort on the east coast of Majorca. This intimate sandy beach is on the edge of the village of Costa Del Pin and is completely natural and unspoiled. Right by the beach there are in fact no buildings to be seen apart from a beach bar, which has been run by the owners and their family for over twenty years. The bar sells delicious cocktails and snacks, and also rents out the loungers set out under beautiful straw beach umbrellas.
Sa Marjal Beach is peaceful and its atmosphere is thoroughly relaxing. You'll find it a good place to come if you need a break from the big holiday beaches and are looking for somewhere to mellow out. The beach nestles idyllically in the beautiful mountain landscape. A few trees create a pleasant ambience and add extra shady spots. The route down to the water is pleasant. From May to October a lifeguard ensures safety in the water and there are showers available.
The area to the back of the beach at Sa Marjal, which is called Es Ribell, is even more peaceful. The lounger area here is narrower and there are lots of little rocks for sitting on, as well as places that are relatively out of sight which make good hideaways. Many Germans who have migrated to Majorca, or who spend part of the year here, live nearby and love coming to Sa Marjal Beach, so there is a high proportion of regular visitors.
