The little-visited bays of Es Pregons Grans and Es Pregons Petits offer a quiet alternative to the adjacent beaches of Es Trenc and D'es Moli de s'Estany. They are popular with naturists, but have no infrastructure at all. There tends to be a lot of seaweed, both on the lounging area and in the water, which deters the great majority of visitors from a longer stay. If you don't have a problem with this and set greater store by the seclusion of a natural and unspoiled spot, this beach will suit you nicely.
Playa Es Pregons - Haven of peace close to the classic beach of Es Trenc
Lots of people are only aware in passing of the two bays of Es Pregons Grans and Es Pregons Petits, but they have one decisive advantage, especially in the peak season: in contrast to the lively adjacent beaches of Es Trenc to the north and D'es Moli de s'Estany to the south it's much quieter here.
Es Pregons Grans and Es Pregons Petits are in the south-east of Majorca, around 50 kilometres from Palma. You can't get all the way to the beaches by car. You will find parking in the coastal town of Colònia de Sant Jordi, from where you can continue on foot along the lively beach of D'es Moli de s'Estany and across flat rocks.
The two bays are directly next to each other and are of very similar appearance. The sandy beaches are completely natural and unspoiled and are surrounded by thick forest. The look of the beaches and the water is affected by a good deal of seaweed. This is one of the reasons few visitors spend time here. The seclusion is appreciated by naturists, who find this a peaceful alternative to the hubbub in the surrounding area.
Es Pregons Grans and Es Pregons Petits have no infrastructure. However, there are water sports operators and small chiringuitos at the nearby beach of D'es Moli de s'Estany.
