Es Carregador - Typical family beach with a few special features
The smallest of four popular beaches in Majorca's south-west is Playa Es Carregador. On the right-hand side there is a verdant rocky coastline with a promenade that leads to the neighbouring beach of Playa de Palmanova, just a short walk away. On the left-hand side there is a small harbour, which slightly affects the water quality.
With its approximately 300 metre light sand beach, Playa Es Carregador offers a good mix of restaurants, shops, fun and relaxation. Whilst various shops and retail outlets rub shoulders with the restaurants on Avenida de la Platja, along the beach promenade you will find only cafés and restaurants. Lovers of international cuisine will be just as happy here as fans of classic Italian, German or American dishes. The Campino Beach beach bar is a hotspot where you can indulge yourself in an exclusive setting with high prices. Another special feature here is the free internet access.
This beach is a popular holiday destination for families, as well as for singles and couples. German, British and French tourists come here to enjoy a nice holiday away from the predominantly British party scene in nearby Magaluf. As well as the pedal boat hire facility there is the Aqua Arena, a fun floating assault course for climbing, sliding and jumping on. For 10 euros big and small kids over the age of six can spend an hour on it letting off steam.
