Playa de Palmira - Popular holiday destination with a wide range of leisure activities
The crescent-shaped bay of Playa de Palmira lies right by the popular tourist resort of Peguera in the south-west of Majorca. The hilly coast, where a particularly large number of German tourists enjoy the Majorcan summer, is densely built-up with hotels, apartment complexes and numerous shops. The light sandy beach, which extends over a length of about 500 metres, is the most westerly of Peguera's three bathing beaches. The beach has a clean, well-kept appearance and the quality of the water is impeccable.
Playa de Palmira enjoys popularity with couples and, in the summer months in particular, with families. The gently slope into the water is especially good for children. Whilst parents while away the time on the loungers or at the beach massage pavilion, children can enjoy the day climbing and sliding on the floating water play area. The joint activities, like boat trips or a ride on a pedal boat or banana boat won't disappoint either. If you're feeling brave, jet skis and stand up paddle boarding are on offer too.
Numerous food outlets, including restaurants, cafés and snack bars, provide sustenance. These are located right on the beach promenade, or on "Bulevar de Peguera" boulevard, which runs parallel to the promenade just 40 metres away.
All in all, an ideal holiday destination for couples and families who prefer to have a wide range of amenities available on-site.
