Playa de Tora - Outstandingly well-developed sandy beach in the tourist resort of Peguera
Playa de Tora is one of three bathing beaches in the predominantly German tourist resort of Peguera in the south-west of Majorca. Via a broad seaside promenade you can reach the slightly smaller neighbouring beach of Playa La Romana. Playa Tora is a lively beach nestling in a hilly landscape covered in pine trees. The town of Peguera itself consists largely of hotels, apartment buildings and the popular promenade, Boulevard de Peguera, with its numerous shops. At Playa de Tora you will find everything that your holidaymaker heart desires. On the two extensive sandy beaches the slope down to the water is practically flat, which is ideal for young families. Children can let off steam alternately at the spacious kids’ play area, the floating water playground or the kids’ activity programme at Hotel Hapimag at Playa La Romana, which is open to non-residents. Adult visitors will be delighted by the numerous loungers and sun umbrellas on Playa de Tora. The massages available right at the beach round off this relaxation programme perfectly. Anyone who would like a bit more action now and then can book a boat trip or a round of mini-golf right on the spot. Whether it's beach volleyball, football, basketball, table tennis, stand up paddle boarding, pedal boating or surfing – there must surely be something for everyone here. Just one little grumble: the water conditions mean that surfing is only possible in winter. Culinary indulgence is the order of the day in the numerous restaurants and bars right on the beach. And several beach bars invite you to linger awhile.
