Cala Clara - Small sandy bay surrounded by rocks
Cala Clara beach lies in the north of Majorca in the small resort of Cala Sant Vincenç. The very small sandy bay is located directly below a large hotel building and is mainly used by its residents. To the side it is framed by the walls of a small beach promenade, plateaus and rocks, which offer additional places on which to lie. In the background, in front of the hotel façade, the landings of former boathouses offer more space to spread yourself out. There are also shady spots here.
The water is clear and the shallow access is good for children. At the edge of the beach, steps lead into the water as well. There is no lifeguard in situ but you can easily see across the small bay, even from the balconies of the hotel, so parents can sit and relax on shore without letting their little ones out of sight. However there are sharp stones, so beach shoes are recommended. There are a few restaurants, bars and hotels within walking distance as well as the neighbouring beach of Cala Barques, which is bigger and has sun loungers and sun umbrellas available for hire.
