Cala Molins - Sandy urban beach, framed by rocksThe beach of Cala Molins is the most touristy of the beaches in the resort of Cala Sant Vincenç in the north of Majorca. It lies well sheltered in the heart of the resort, nestled in the rocky landscape that surrounds it. A few trees on the promenade and on the edge of the beach provide shade and there are plenty of straw beach umbrellas and loungers as well. The light area of sand is not huge, but offers enough space. The water is clear and clean.
Most visitors here stay in the surrounding hotels. They include lots of families and older people and come mainly from Germany and Great Britain. Due to its central location in the resort, and because there are lots of children on the beach, it can get a bit noisy. There is a restaurant serving snacks and local dishes. A lifeguard ensures safety in the water and there are showers and toilets on the beach too. A small water sports operator has set up shop in an opening in the rocks and, as well as kayak tours, offers kayaks and SUPs for hire.
