Playa de Pelada - Small, untouched, sandy beach in rocky surroundings
Playa de Pelada, also known as Playa de Granadilla, is situated in the south of Tenerife near the well-known beach of El Médano. The Montaña Pelada mountain provides shelter and a beautiful background for this small bay. The rocks to either side of this bay stretch right along the coast. You can reach this completely untouched beach via a path through a sandy landscape scattered with stones and bushes. Even from here you can take some fantastic photos. Down on the beach you can relax on the fine, black sand and enjoy the wild scenery.
The beach is mainly frequented by the younger generation and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Surfers are also to be found here. In the right weather conditions small waves on either side of the bay are ideal for learning and practising for beginners. From the surrounding rocks you can watch the hustle and bustle of the beach and enjoy the great view in peace and quiet.
