Summary of the Beach Inspectors

At the small cape of Punta de la Chullera there are three small bays in a fantastic rocky setting. Although the surface underfoot is stony, the seawater at the beach is all the clearer for it, so the snorkelling conditions are perfect. In one of the three bays you will find a chiringuito serving delicious meals and cocktails. You can rent sun loungers there if you need them. The other two bays are somewhat quieter. Overall, the beach attracts lots of families.

Punta de la Chullera - rock jumping and snorkelling

Large rocks divide this beach into three sections, creating a natural setting that is actually quite rare on the Costa del Sol. In places the boulders extend far out into the deep blue Mediterranean waters and are very popular as natural diving platforms, with young people in particular.

Punta de la Chullera is a small cape on the coast of southern Spain and lies around 25 kilometres from Estepona. Its three small coves are situated below a major road, although you can hardly hear the passing traffic from the beach. From the car park you get to the beach via the rocks, but this route is quite difficult. Close to the chiringuitos there is an easier route.

One distinctive feature of the three coves at Punta de la Chullera is their stony surface, which makes the sea water on this stretch of coast particularly clear. This means that it's well worth taking your snorkel along so that you can explore the underwater world of the beach.

In summer this spot attracts families in particular. The liveliest section of the beach is normally the one with the chiringuito. Here can you replenish your energy with local dishes, sip cocktails and rent sun loungers. Showers and toilets are also available. You can get to the two other coves across the rocks. Fewer people visit these so they are a lot quieter.
