Playa del Cañuelo combines the benefits of a remote bay with the comfort of a touristy bathing beach. Because of its outlying position it is especially suitable for a day trip, for example from Málaga, which is around an hour away. From the car park a shuttle service transports you to the long pebble beach. Ideal water conditions, sun loungers, an exotic chiringuito and a natural landscape of cliffs and hills characterise the family-friendly Playa del Cañuelo.
Playa del Cañuelo - a remote pebble beach with an unexpected range of services
There's nothing to stop you making a day trip here with the whole family, because at Playa del Cañuelo you'll find everything you need. This beautiful pebble beach is situated in a nature reserve on the Costa del Sol, almost a hour from Málaga.
The beach is in a remote location around two kilometres from the N 340 main road. From the car park a shuttle service will transport you to the beach and back again for two euros. Despite its remote location the long pebble beach is not completely undeveloped. You will find a convivial beach bar on site, where you can indulge in drinks and snacks in an exotic setting with a sea view. You can also hire the loungers and beach umbrellas that are set out on the beach here, and even book a Thai massage.
Playa del Cañuelo stretches out over a good 400 metres in the sheltered hilly landscape of the Spanish south coast. Rocky foothills border the beach on both sides. In this spot you can spend a relaxed day, enjoy the Spanish sun and cool off in the exceptionally clear water. The snorkellers among you will be right in their element here. Because of the stony surface underfoot we recommend that you wear beach shoes.
Lots of families enjoy the optimal combination of a remote natural beach, a large amount of space and a small but excellent range of services that Playa del Cañuelo offers its bathers.
