Playa des Xuclar - Natural bay for relaxing and snorkelling
Playa des Xuclar is hidden in a tiny bay in the north of Ibiza surrounded by pine forests. Although the inconspicuous looking beach is only five minutes away from the holiday resort of Portinatx, it makes a very remote impression located between the small, rocky hills. Coming here by car, take the turning from the main road and carry on downhill through the forest via a gravel road. The route is well signposted and directly next to the beach are plenty of car parking spaces in the shade.
Playa des Xuclar is a very small beach in an intimate setting. The sand is mixed with stones and under the very clear sea there are larger stones on the surface. You can choose between lying down on the beach or hiring a sun-lounger.
On both sides of the narrow bay are boat houses and on the western side you can climb onto the rocks. Playa des Xuclar is also very suitable for snorkelling. At the rear of the beach is a very small restaurant with seats outside in the shade.
In a natural setting, locals from the island and tourists can focus on relaxation here. The beach attracts mainly couples, but also families with children come here looking for a change from the larger beaches, of which Portinatx is an example.
