Summary of the Beach Inspectors
Ibiza has hardly any other beaches like this one. There are no amenities at all at Es Niu de S'Aguila beach and hardly anybody makes their way here. Reasons for this include the remote location and difficult access. You will have to find your way over rocks and stones to reach the beach. The effort is well worth it if you are looking for solitude and a beautiful landscape which is created here by the rocks and sea.

Es Niu de S'Aguila - Quiet beach for the adventurous

You will need to do some climbing if you want to get to this beach. Playa Es Niu de S'Aguila in the south-west of Ibiza can only be reached by climbing over rocks. It takes 15 minutes by car from San Josep to reach the beach of Ses Boques and from there you have to make your own way over the rocks along the coast. The effort is well worth it though, as even though large parts of the coast of Ibiza are known to the tourists, here you will get the impression that you have discovered a secret place. The natural surroundings are very impressive with a 200-metre long beach, fine gravel sand and crystal clear water and all of that almost just for yourself alone.

Rocks protrude several metres high from the sea just in front of the beach,. The mountains further inland and the steep slopes with trees all the way down to the beach round off the unique and impressive scenery.

There is a small offshore reef which is ideal for snorkelling, but the beach has no amenities. There are neither restaurants nor sun-loungers, but under the trees you will find a shady place to rest.

Es Niu de S'Aguila is the local beach for the inhabitants of the fincas which are on top of the cliff, but otherwise hardly anyone else comes here. The biggest problem for families and older people is the difficulty in getting to the beach. However, if you really want solitude and a place that is still in its original natural condition, then you will find that Es Niu de S'Aguila is perfect for you.
