Cala Sant Vicent - Large hotels in magnificent surroundings
Die Ausläufer einer bewaldeten Bergkette prägen das Bild von Cala de Sant Vicent
The setting of Cala de Sant Vicent is notable for being at the foothills of a forested mountain range, as well as for the rows of large hotels next to the beach. This means that the bay with its beach of fine sand and its turquoise sea has all the facilities and infrastructure of a holiday resort, together with beautiful natural scenery.
Cala Sant Vicent can be reached by car from Portinatx in about half an hour. A well-built, winding road meanders through the beautiful mountain scenery in the north of Ibiza. The journey by car from Sant Carles takes a good quarter of an hour. The village of Sant Vicent is situated well inland on the island, around three kilometres from Cala Sant Vicent. There is a forest immediately behind the large hotels and on the eastern side of the bay are white villas surrounded by lots of greenery.
The vast sandy beach has plenty of space for soaking up the sun and there are sun-loungers and parasols for hire. Lifeguards provide a safe swimming environment here. Families with children feel particularly at home in Cala Sant Vicent and in the summer months they form the majority of visitors to this beach.
Pedal boats and boards for stand-up paddling are available for hire at Cala Sant Vicent and there is also a diving school near to the beach. Volleyball and boccia are played here on the sand. At the palm-tree lined promenade there is a large choice of restaurants offering everything from burger with chips to local haute cuisine dishes. In the lovely furnished beach bar “On the Beach” you can sit comfortably on the soft sofas and enjoy cocktails. From the viewing points of the surroundings hills you can watch the lively action on the beach from above.
