Summary of the Beach Inspectors
Its campsite, exclusive restaurant and the good surfing conditions at times make the beach of Cala Nova attractive to people with different kinds of interests. Surrounded by the tree- covered hills, Cala Nova is a nice contrast to the more built-up beach in the nearby holiday resort of Es Canar. Mainly young people but also families, come here to enjoy a relaxed day at the fine sandy beach with its turquoise coloured water

Cala Nova - The wave of Ibiza

When the wind blows strongly enough, surfers find excellent surfing conditions here for riding the waves compared to other bays in Ibiza. The long sandy beach of Cala Nova in the north-east of the island is hardly sheltered by land and is therefore very exposed towards the sea. Behind the beach the landscape consists of flat, mainly forested, small hills.

Cala Nova is only a few metres from the holiday resort of Es Canar and can be reached by car in about ten minutes from Santa Eulària. There is a large car park behind the beach, but if this gets full in summer you can also park at the edge of the road. A wooden pathway leads over the dunes to the beach.

Flat rock ledges divide the beach into three areas. There are large areas with sun-loungers, as well as soft, sandy areas to spread out on your beach towel. It is mainly young people who come to this bay to play ball in the shallow water, soak up the sun and enjoy the turquoise shimmering sea. Several lifeguards keep an eye on the beach.

Cala Nova is very near for the holidaymakers of the nearby campsite. Slightly higher up behind the beach, the owner of an Ibiza luxury hotel has opened an exclusive restaurant and bar, the Atzaró Beach. High-quality dishes, from fish to burger are served here.
