Cala Conta - Platges de Comte - Crowded in the summerIn the extreme west of Ibiza Cala Conta sticks out into the sea from a barren, flat rock-plateau. The beach is one of the most popular in Ibiza because of its fine sand, turquoise sea and the great view of the offshore island of Illa des Bosc. In nice weather you will not be able to find a quiet spot here among the crowded rows of sun-loungers and beach towels. Cala Conta, also known as Platges de Comte, is around 15 kilometres from the holiday resort of San Antonio and can be reached from there not only by car but also by boat. There is also a large car park at the rear of the beach.
On a protruding rock plateau which divides the beach into two areas is the Sunset Ashram restaurant with fantastic views, especially at sunset. The restaurant itself blends in nicely in colour and shape with its natural surroundings. On its shady patio, Indian meals and other dishes are served while a DJ provides the background music. There is also another restaurant nearby.
At this beach everyone can enjoy the sun and you will see a mixture of people including young families and older couples here. Jet-skis, wakeboards and pedal-boats provide the fun activities in the water.
