Cala Martina - Reach for your paddles and jump on your boards
Small motor boats float in the sea, boards and paddles are ready for use on the beach and rows of catamarans are lined up in the sand – at this beach it's all about water-sports. Cala Martina is situated between the holiday resorts of Es Canar and S'Argamassa on the flat north-eastern coast of Ibiza. The beach can be reached by car in about ten minutes from Santa Eulària and is well signposted.
Directly at the beach there are several water-sport outlets and a diving school. The friendly staff will help you to select the right equipment from the vast choice between catamaran sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, stand-up paddling, kayaking and pedal boats. There are courses both for adults and for children. Conditions for all water-sports are very good throughout the year at Cala Martina, but kite-surfing is not allowed during the summer months.
On a long sandy stretch of the beach you can get yourself one of the many sun-loungers to relax and simply watch the water-sport enthusiasts. There is also a beach bar called Chirincana, where you can have a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes in the evenings live music is played among the wooden benches and straw parasols. There are also a few more modest restaurants to be found at the beach.
