Cala Pada - Boat trips and snorkelling with the family
The bay of Cala Pada is situated between the holiday resorts of Santa Eulalia and Es Canar, with only a few holiday homes and hotels nearby. Small pine forests surround the beach, which consists entirely of light, soft sand. Protruding from the water on both sides of the bay are rocks which are very popular spots for anglers.
Cala Pada is located in a flat region of the north-east of Ibiza and can be reached by car in ten minutes from Santa Eulalia. Free car parking spaces are available at the side of the access road. There is also a coastal path connecting Santa Eulalia with Es Canar which runs along this beach.
The clear, shallow water and a separate swimming area make Cala Pada a popular destination for families with children. The German owners of the local diving school organise trips on cutters and dinghies. If you prefer snorkelling to diving, there is guided snorkelling for the whole family on offer. For diving beginners there are special training courses directly at the beach to give you a taste of what it's like. As well as this, pedal boats and banana boats to head out into the water are available for hire.
For quieter moments there are sun-loungers and parasols at the beach. At the rear of the beach there is a row of small restaurants serving local and international dishes on the cosy, shaded terraces. Small excursion boats on their way to Ibiza town, Formentera and other destinations can be seen at the pier here.
