Veranda Grand Baie Beach
Guests of the Veranda Grand Baie Hotel have direct access to this small beach. Here you can go on a glass-bottom boat trip. Outside the hotel and at the beach you can lie down under the palm-trees and enjoy the view of the green areas and the ocean. The north of Mauritius is the best place for diving and snorkelling and the beach is an ideal starting point to head out to the water.

Veranda Grand Baie Beach - Small beach in a great location

The Veranda Resort Grand Baie in the north of Mauritius has a small private beach which can be accessed directly from the outside area of the hotel. At the edges of the white, sandy beach is black lava rock, where numerous small crabs crawl around.

Also the underwater world has much to offer. You can go on a glass-bottom boat trip here and look down on the fantastic underwater world of the north of Mauritius. If you would prefer to go underwater yourself to do this, than you should go to the office of a local diving school which is based in the hotel.

At the beach and in the outside areas around the pool are large palm-trees and parasols providing shade. Green areas and brightly coloured plants round off the colourful setting. While relaxing on one of the sun-loungers you can watch the small fishing boats sailing past.

The public beaches of La Cuvette and Grand Baie Public Beach are only a short distance from this beach and are certainly well worth a visit.

A small beach bar opens in the evenings on the beach and you can also enjoy the entertainment programme of the hotel. Whereas the beach is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, Grand Baie is a popular place for party-lovers and the nearest clubs and bars, are only 10 minutes walking distance away. Here you can dance until the early hours of the morning.
